08/26/25 23:01 Ladder 38 was alerted to the area of Eagle Road & Sunny Hill Road for fire coming from a home. At 23:05 Ladder 38 arrived behind the rest of the Haverford Township Bureau of Fire, and operated for an hour.

Oakmont Fire Company @oakmontfire38 will bring a pumper truck and antique fire engine to Haverford First Fest – Celebrating First Responders this Saturday, 7/19 in Paddock Park @paddockfarmscivic The trucks will be there from 4 to 6 pm.
Kelly Music for Life will donate proceeds from this event to the Volunteer Fire Departments in Haverford Township. Kelly Music for Life presents this FREE Event in the Park. Co-Hosted by Paddock Farms Civic Association. LIVE music, food, crafters, Inflatables for the kids and more.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and hang out under all the shade trees.
Come and Join the Oakmont Fire Company for a Fun 4th of July Celebration!!!
The parade will start at 11:00 am from Oakmont Fire Company located at 23 W. Benedict Avenue.
The parade will start at the fire house and end at Grasslyn Field where there will be hot dogs, freeze pops, water and pretzels for all to enjoy. There will also be races for kids (and adults) of all ages.
Ribbons will be given out for best decorated bike, strollers, scooters etc. along with winners of the races. We hope to see you all on the 4th!!!
During the past year, 6 of our Probationary Firefighters have completed all certification and in-house training requirements to become interior firefighters. The final step was a live fire training that put all of their learned skills to the test.
We are always looking for more members, if you’re interested stop by the station on a Monday night between 7-9pm or message us on facebook.

The members of Oakmont Fire Company would like to congratulate Probationary Firefighters Andrew Moore, William Morris, and Adam Skrocki for graduating from the Montgomery County Fire Academy. The members have finished an extensive training program that was over 180 hours long, ultimately graduating as certified firefighters.
In the last week, Company 38 has answered to 7 calls for service, including 2 vehicle fires and an accident with entrapment. Interested in joining? Stop in for an application today!
This Saturday, June 7th, and next Saturday, June 14th, from noon to 2 pm there will be be T-shirts for sale at the fire station (23 W. Benedict ave). $10.00 each. Youth and adult sizes available. See you there!!

On Tuesday morning at 5:45am, Oakmont was dispatched to a building fire, for smoke coming from a vacant home. HTPD arrived with smoke showing and advised dispatch of an active fire. Ladder 38 arrived with a crew of 6 and stretched a hose line and extinguished the fire. Engine 35 supplied Ladder 38 with a supply line, and then proceeded to perform horizontal and vertical ventilation. Engine 56 was on scene as the rapid intervention team. The fire was placed under control a short time later.
