On this evening the Oakmont Fire Company crew spent the night moving the apparatus and other equipment from the “old” firehouse into our new temporary station, “the tent.” The tent is 40’ wide and 80’ long. As you can see in the pictures it fits all four fire trucks and our protective gear. Other items that are not essential to the day-to-day operations mere moved into a trailer to the rear of the “old” fire house. The Oakmont Fire Company is on the move into the future. Though we expect some growing pains, service to the community will remain uninterrupted and with the utmost of professionalism. We would like to continuously thank you the Township Of Haverford, the local businesses and surrounding residents for their understanding and support during this transition period.
