Fire Safety pledge program thru Liberty Mutual Insurance

Liberty Mutual Insurance has created a “Fire Safety Pledge Program” where your local fire department (Oakmont Fire Company) can win a $10,000 grant from Liberty Mutual. The Fire Safety Pledge program is an interactive fire safety resource for families from Liberty Mutual. Now through December 21st, 2009, learn more about home fire hazards and take the quiz to test your Fire Safety IQ.  Then credit your quiz to your local fire department.  If your community rallies the most support, your local fire department could earn one of ten $10,000 Awards!

Just three easy steps:

  1. Take the Quiz.
  2. Credit Your Fire Department.
  3. Spread the Word!

Just click on the link below and follow the directions. Thank you in advance for helping your local volunteers!!

Search & Rescue Drill

On Monday evening, June 29th, the company utilized the search & rescue trailer from the Delaware County Emergency Services Training Center. The members in attendance were given assignments before entering the smoke filled trailer. In teams of two they proceeded in the entrance, through the maze inside and exited via the rear doors of the trailer. Each scenario was changed keeping the members “on their toes.” Thanks to Dave and Earl from the DCESTC for bringing the trailer out to the fire training tower.
