Just after 0330 hours Companies 38 and Engine 35 were dispatched to 2716 Sunnybrook Lane for a building fire. While en route police had arrived and reported heavy smoke showing and requested EMS for a victim with smoke inhalation. Chief 38 arrived shortly thereafter and confirmed the same report. The balance of the responding units (Engine 38, Foam 35 and Rescue 38) arrived and had their manpower assemble out front of the fire building and await an assignment.
The fire was quickly contained and necessitated lengthy overhaul of the kitchen, dining room and living room areas. Companies returned to service at 0610 hours.  A special thanks to Pipeline 58 for covering the “tent.” Next time we’ll leave the keys to the double wide trailer….
