President John J. Stretch III
The Oakmont Fire Company regrets to announce the death of Fire Company President John J. Stretch III. President Stretch served our organization tirelessly for over fifty years, most recently serving as our President, since 1999. He was a champion of our cause and made sure that everyone he ran into knew that we were a 100% volunteer organization and how proud he was to lead us. President Stretch himself dedicated countless hours ensuring the Fire Company always had what we needed to effectively serve our community. Our organization, and all of Havertown, lost a great man today and he will be forever missed. Funeral arrangements will be posted as they become available.

Old Engine and Ladder Make it to their New Home
Our old engine and ladder have made it to their new home at West Cape May Fire Company. West Cape May purchased both pieces of apparatus from the Township and a few of our members, along with a township representative, delivered the trucks this morning. We wish West Cape May luck with our old trucks and are sure they will serve you well for years to come. We will be sure to come by to visit as we make it down the shore this summer!
