At approximately 8pm Company 1(Oakmont) and Engine 3 (Brookline) were dispatched to the 1700 blk. of Karakung Drive for a fire on the roof. Oakmont 5 (McGoldrick) arrived and confirmed same, while taking command. Quick work by the crews prevented this from escalating. Rescue 4 (Bon Air), 34-7 and Medic 108 were also on the assignment, but were not needed. The companies returned to service just prior to 10 pm. Photos courtesy of Steven Hand, Jr.
