Today the Oakmont Fire Company held a ceremonial groundbreaking for the new fire house. Joining the volunteers were Commissioners Oliva, Heilmann, Rushforth and Township Fire Marshal Marino. The short ceremony was topped off by speeches from the Oakmont Fire Company President John Stretch and Fire Chief Robert J. “Mags” McGoldrick. This event brings the much anticipated building demolition a bit closer. Demolition is tentatively scheduled to begin around July 23rd through the 25th.
